The Common Room
A function room for every possible occasion
The Common Room is a beautifully stylish Georgian function room last used to hold small dances for the Canadian Air Force based around Funtington in the Second World War. We have just finished carefully and stylishly restoring the room to the highest standards.
Ideal for private dining for 12-50 people or larger parties with an informal buffet service and bar, the room boasts high ceilings, full height sash windows with original shutters, soft carpets, a 20ft oak dinning table, chandeliers, small comfortable licensed bar and a PA system if required.

Banqueting and Private Dining
Whether it’s a corporate dinner, a buffet to accompany your event, a cocktail party or wedding breakfast, we have a dedicated team of chefs and front of house staff to cater for all your needs and to ensure that your requirements are met to the highest of standards.
Our menus are designed to offer you a range of choices throughout the seasons. We also appreciate that you may wish to create a bespoke theme for your guests and we are very happy to assist in creating menus that match the mood and setting of your occasion.
Wines & Drinks
We have a fully stocked bar serving fine wines, sprits, beers, coffee or tea. We can offer a pay bar service for larger parties. If you prefer to bring your own special wines or Champagne, we also offer a corkage service at a reasonable rate.
